Dr. Peter G. Bittar is a Double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeon at Miami Dermatology and Surgery, where he directs the Dermatologic Surgery Unit and specializes in surgical, cosmetic and medical dermatology.

Dr. Bittar completed his undergraduate studies the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Wharton School as well as the College of Arts and Sciences. He then attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his residency training in dermatology at Indiana University, where he served as Chief Resident.

He then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he received extensive training in the medical and surgical management of high-risk skin cancer, facial reconstruction, and cosmetic dermatology. He also served as a faculty member at Yale, teaching residents and medical students the fundamentals of dermatologic surgery and aesthetic medicine.

Dr. Bittar is passionate about the treatment and prevention of skin cancer, and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and presented both nationally and internationally. He strives to give his patients the highest quality of care and attention — through a personalized approach that aims to minimize scarring, preserve form, and enhance patients’ natural beauty.
